Six Flags

Saturday we surprised the kids and took them to Six Flags. Each of us had a favorite ride, including the water rides which kept us from melting. It was a
l-o-n-g, fun filled day.

Silly Girls

This weekend we are going to D/FW. As I was laying out some items that needed to be packed, including toiletries, Logenn came into the room and asked, "Mom, when can I start wearing deodorant?" Before I could even answer her question Hadley chimed in. "When your armpits start to smell like stinky pigs." I just left it at that. But, I do wonder what armpits Hadley has smelled in her life to come up with "stinky pig smell." We had a good laugh, and I assured her that I wouldn't let it get that far before she could start wearing it. Silly girls!

Fire Mountain

Saturday night we went out to a little amusement/arcade park for some family fun time.
Logenn on the bumper boats.

Mike and Hadley on the bumper boats.

Speedster Logenn.

A very timid Hadley.

Mike's turn to race the "big kid" go-carts.

Had and Mom.

Round 2 for Mike.

Mom and Logenn.

Braeden letting us know that it wasn't fair there was nothing for him to do. Sorry, kiddo.

We had a GREAT TIME!!! (even with the humidity and bugs;)

New, Favorite Toy

Braeden absolutely loves the dive sticks for the pool. For the first couple of days after we pulled them out of the bag, it seemed like he had at least one in his hand (or mouth) every time we turned around. He's a funny one.

Bored?

We came with Mike to Eastern Texas while he works his last clerkship. We wanted to see what it was like. WOW! We thought there was nothing to do in Central Texas, well there's not much more to do here. We have no T.V. (which is fine). Our day consists of Blockbusters, swimming and an occasional trip to Wal-Mart. Today Mike went to Barnes and Noble and purchased books. We are also going to see if we can check out books at the library. We hopefully will get to visit the Rose Gardens and the Discovery Science Center (but how many times can you go there? maybe several, we'll see). They do have a zoo, but it's to stinkin' hot to walk around during the day. We are trying to be creative. We'll keep you posted.

And. . . Off He Goes

A few days before leaving Idaho, Mike asked me if Braeden was walking yet. My answer was no, he's waiting until we get home. Well, I guess he really was waiting. Last night we returned home and tonight he decided to show off. He stood up on his own and walked clear across the living room. To say the least Mike was very proud (and surprised), as were the rest of us. YEAH for Braeden!
