A YUMMY Package
A man in brown delivered a fun and yummy Halloween package to our doorstep. Inside we found treats in cute little pails, glow sticks, homemade fruit leather, and the best surprise of all. . . a bag of Strawberries & Cream Germade Cereal from Lehi Mills. YEAH! When we lived in Utah, Germade was an often request for breakfast. Now, that it's not ready available to us, it's a savory breakfast treat, we just love it. What a great surprise! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma.Saturday, October 27, 2007

Tagged
I was tagged by Angie.
A: Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
B: At the end of the post, the player then tags people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog for these rules.
Here goes. . .
1. Before I go grocery shopping I write my list according to the isle. Rarely do I have to backtrack. This makes shopping go smooth and quick, especially nice when kids are in tow.
2. I have a plastic container fetish. They're everywhere. In the garage, closets, cupboards, you name it, they're there. I can think of a million uses for them.
3. I'm a planner. I don't like stress or to be surprised, so I like to plan and be prepared far in advance. This isn't always easy with a husband who likes to do things on a whim. ;)
4. I'm a post-it note girl and list maker. I have post-its on the kitchen cabinets, on the door to the garage and an occasional one on the bathroom mirror. I'm constantly writing myself reminders and lists. I want to be organized and I'm not very good at it so making lists helps me feel like I'm being somewhat organized. (Must be a birth order trait).
5. I can't really swim. I don't know how to hold my breath underwater without inhaling water through my nose. Embarrassing.
6. I'm scared of what is under beds. I don't like open closets and uncovered windows in dark rooms either. I know I'm 30 something and I know what is under my own bed, but I still get creeped out. I don't kneel by my bedside to pray, I'm afraid of what might reach out and grab me, I kneel on my bed to pray. And if there is a closet and/or a window in direct sight in the room where I am sleeping the closet door has to be closed and the window covered.
If you read this and have a blog consider yourself tagged.

Primary Program
The girls had their Primary Program today and they both did a job well done. The entire Primary did really well. I have to admit that I was kind of worried considering that last night was our Ward Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat. I was afraid the children were going to be wired with sugar, but everyone did great.
Ward Fall Fest
Last night (Saturday) was our Ward Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat. There were several Scripture themed carnival games inside the cultural hall along with face painting, hair coloring, a fun maze in the R.S. room, and of course, treats galore. Then after all the fun was had inside everyone made their way outside for the Trunk-or-Treating.
Mike in the Jell-o eating (snorting) contest. He made it to the final round and won.
I'm happy to say I won't have to buy candy for Halloween night, I think we'll have enough to hand out to trick-or-treaters. (Am I cheap or what? I really don't want all this candy and then add what they'll receive on Halloween).
Braeden's poor skinned up nose. He took a digger and biffed his nose in the church parking lot during trunk-or-treating. Fun was had by all.

Conference
This is Hadley's drawing of our family watching Conference. Yes, we were able to watch today. We usually get to listen online, but this time it was being broadcast on a local channel. The picture on Hadley's T.V. is of the fountains shown on the Temple Square grounds just before conference started. I told her that her drawing is my dream, that we can all sit on the couch quietly, with no interruptions, and enjoy every session of conference, as a family. Hey, a mom can dream can't she?
