Kool Aid Play-Doh

My sister gave me a recipe for kool aid play-doh.
It's so easy to make and provides hours of fun!
To say the least, the kids loved it. It smells yummy and the color is so vibrant. (We used tropical punch for this batch).
Thanks Aunt Brianne!
Here's the recipe...

KOOL AID PLAY-DOH

2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 pkgs. unsweetened kool aid
2 cups boiling water
3 TBSP vegetable oil
In a plastic bowl mix dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Knead for 5 minutes. Play. Store in a ziploc bag in the fridge.

B turns 3

When Braeden was asked what he wanted for his birthday his response never changed. He wanted a SPACESHIP cake. We could of skipped all of the presents and fun, all he talked about was the cake.
When he woke up from his nap, dad surprised him with a ball and hoop.

Trying out his new ball and glove with a little catch.

His day was very laxadaisy. Phone calls from loved ones. A few gifts here and there, including cash to spend. Dinner and swimming with cousins. Then of course, the (long awaited) cake and ice cream. He loved it.

My favorite part of the day...
When I was decorating his cake he came into the kitchen and wanted to watch, and every so often would say, "Thank You mom. I LOVE my spaceship cake." So sweet!

Happy day! We love our B-man!

POTTY TRAINED!!!

For the past year and up until this week Braeden has been completely uninterested in potty training. So uninterested that I had plans of waiting until the girls went back to school in the fall to start potty training him. But something clicked this week and he was ready. Of course it had to be the busiest week ever. Last week of school means award ceremonies, class parties and to add to that, preparing for someones 3rd birthday. I've hardly been home, but in four days he's completely potty trained. Our favorite potty training incentives have worked like a charm. He has been the easiest child of mine to potty train, so far. One thing I've learned...it definitely pays off to wait until they are ready (even when/if you're not). Yay for Braeden!
