Chocolate Banana Boats

These chocolate banana boats are one of our family's favorite treats. Here's how to make them...
Ingredients:
aluminum foil
bananas
semi-sweet chocolate chips
chopped pecans
miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven at 400 degrees.

Place the bananas on individual pieces of aluminum foil and make a slice down the center of each banana, as shown.

Place chocolate chips down the center of each banana.

Place pecans over the chocolate chips.

Place marshmallows over pecans.

Wrap foil around each banana as shown. Try not to let the foil touch the marshmallows (they will stick). Place bananas in a preheated oven. The bananas fit perfectly in between the slats on the oven rack. (does that make sense? I forgot to take a picture...sorry) Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes.

This is what they should look like when finished heating. (The peel turns black because of the heat but does not effect the taste, I promise). Let cool about 5 minutes or so.

Eat and. . . . .

ENJOY!

Oh, and one other great thing about these, besides tasting yummy, is the clean up. EASY!

Sticker Pox

Thanks to Hadley, Braeden came down with the Sticker Pox.

Which One?

Braeden is in desperate need of a hair cut, but will probably have to settle for a homemade trim around the ears for now. His sisters think he needs a new hairdo and wanted to put in their two cents. They both took turns sharing their styling abilities. Hadley's spiked up version.

Logenn's mohawk version.

Both are fun and I must admit I was glad to not see any hair bows or barretts. But as for now I think we should stick with his normal hairdo..."The handsome little man" version.

BEWARE OF DOG

We found this Pit Bull warning in our mailbox the other day. According to this flyer the owner's live on our street (across the road and down a few houses). I must say I'm feeling a little uneasy about this and the girls are terrified. Just the other day I was watching the news and there was a boy telling his story about being attacked by a Pit Bull. This type of animal is MEAN, UGLY and SCARY! I am baffled as to why people would want this breed of dog. Last year in Texas the Senate approved a law (Lillian's Law) for harsher penalties against owners of attacking, violent dogs. I don't know who sent out this warning, but I'm sure glad they did. Be safe and BE AWARE of what's in your neighborhood.

"The Mom Song"

This is for all of you mom's. A friend sent this to me in an email a while back. I had to share it. It's pretty funny and exhausting, just like mom-life can be at times. ENJOY!
