He's Cruisin'

(Please ignore the annoying voice behind the camera).
I was talking to my sister the other day and she asked if Chase was walking yet. I told her he has been walking for almost a month now. (She doesn't remember me telling her a month ago that he was letting go of the furniture and venturing out on his own.) She then asked why I hadn't posted about it? Probably because I'm "CHASING" him everywhere (ha-ha, no pun intended). He is now all over the place and into everything, and I mean e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. The little smart tart has figured out how to open the cabinets with the safety latches, and even tries to run the other way when he gets caught putting something into his mouth. Thankfully he hasn't started climbing, yet. This boy keeps me on my toes and some days he even wears me out. But...he makes up for it with his sweet, slobbery kisses.

9 Months

9 month check-up stats...
weight: 19 lbs. 13 oz.
height: 28 3/4 in.
Chase is growing like a weed. He loves to follow his big brother everywhere. He is into everything and likes to undo whatever has been cleaned or picked up. The bathroom doors must now be closed at all times, because toilet paper is now the coolest toy. Chase has 4 teeth, waves bye bye, says da-da when happy and ma-ma when sad or tired. He loves to push toys and furniture around and is starting to take a couple of steps on his own. We love our Chasey Bug, he makes everyone smile and is so much fun.

First Tooth

(Don't let this picture fool you.) :o)
It's official. . .
Chase is the CRANKIEST, teething baby out of all my children. Here you see the result of his crankiness, the first tooth with the second one on it's way. More crankiness to follow, I'm counting on it.
There is one cute thing that has come from his crankiness. He says "mama" when he is super sad. How sweet is that?

Back to School

We can't believe our summer is over. So sad!
Our girls are growing up too fast. This year Logenn is in 5th grade, which puts her in Intermediate School in this district. Completely different campus with only 5th and 6th grades, 6 different classes, 6 different teachers. YIKES! Hadley is in 3rd grade, her teacher is Mrs. J. I think we got lucky this year, thank goodness. Don't ask how we are going to manage with them both being at two different campuses. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Have a great day girls. We love you!

Braeden the Builder

Mike had some errands to run on Saturday, so of course Braeden tagged along. One of the stops was Home Depot. On the 1st Saturday of the month they have Kids Workshops where kids get to build fun projects. Braeden surprised me with this message board/key holder that he made. When he handed it to me he told me that he used a hammer and a screwdriver to make it. He was so proud of himself. Then later when he saw it hanging up he smiled and said, "mom, that's awesome!" I must agree. Thank You B-man, you did a great job!

6 Months

Stats:
17 lbs. 6 oz.
27 1/4 inches
This is one of my favorite baby stages. I love it when my babies start sitting up and are in the process of becoming mobile. Chase is growing like a weed and even though he isn't crawling yet he is all over the place. Whether it's by rolling or scooting or even being an inchworm he finds a way to get his hands on what he wants. Crawling is just around the corner and I can't wait. (Call me crazy but I really love it when my babies can crawl).

Kool Aid Play-Doh

My sister gave me a recipe for kool aid play-doh.
It's so easy to make and provides hours of fun!
To say the least, the kids loved it. It smells yummy and the color is so vibrant. (We used tropical punch for this batch).
Thanks Aunt Brianne!
Here's the recipe...

KOOL AID PLAY-DOH

2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup salt
2 pkgs. unsweetened kool aid
2 cups boiling water
3 TBSP vegetable oil
In a plastic bowl mix dry ingredients. Add oil and water. Knead for 5 minutes. Play. Store in a ziploc bag in the fridge.

B turns 3

When Braeden was asked what he wanted for his birthday his response never changed. He wanted a SPACESHIP cake. We could of skipped all of the presents and fun, all he talked about was the cake.
When he woke up from his nap, dad surprised him with a ball and hoop.

Trying out his new ball and glove with a little catch.

His day was very laxadaisy. Phone calls from loved ones. A few gifts here and there, including cash to spend. Dinner and swimming with cousins. Then of course, the (long awaited) cake and ice cream. He loved it.

My favorite part of the day...
When I was decorating his cake he came into the kitchen and wanted to watch, and every so often would say, "Thank You mom. I LOVE my spaceship cake." So sweet!

Happy day! We love our B-man!

POTTY TRAINED!!!

For the past year and up until this week Braeden has been completely uninterested in potty training. So uninterested that I had plans of waiting until the girls went back to school in the fall to start potty training him. But something clicked this week and he was ready. Of course it had to be the busiest week ever. Last week of school means award ceremonies, class parties and to add to that, preparing for someones 3rd birthday. I've hardly been home, but in four days he's completely potty trained. Our favorite potty training incentives have worked like a charm. He has been the easiest child of mine to potty train, so far. One thing I've learned...it definitely pays off to wait until they are ready (even when/if you're not). Yay for Braeden!

Tuckered Out

Swimming and playing all day will do this to a small one.
(For some reason the blanket basket is becoming his favorite place to fall asleep).

4 Months

This little guy is growing like a weed. Today at Chase's 4 month check up he weighed 15 lbs. and was 26 inches long. He's such a smiler. He loves to be around his sisters and constantly has his eye on Braeden. Chase can't keep his hands out of his mouth, he loves to play with his feet, and he won't stop rolling, over and over and over...
He is sooo much fun!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game...

I think since the day Braeden was born Mike has dreamt of this. . . The day and age has finally come. . .The first of many. . . Mike took Braeden to his first MLB game last night. Rangers vs. Indians. They had a ball. (hee hee)
Braeden up for bat on the kiddie hill. Mike said before each pitch Braeden would tap the bat on the ground before he would set up to swing. (Where did he learn that from?)

Sportin' his new Ranger cap.

They had awesome seats, only 6 rows behind the Ranger's dugout. Mike said that Braeden would walk down to watch the players throw the ball around, then he would come back to Mike and complain that they weren't sharing the ball with him. He wanted to go get his ball and thought if he had his own he could go play with them. He's too cute.

2 Month Stats

12.5 lbs. 24 in.
Chase can already wear 3-6 month clothing but I still try to stuff him in some of his 0-3 month clothes. Yes, I'm in denial that my baby is growing too fast.
