Idaho Trip~Part 1

It had been 3 years since the kids and I have been to Idaho...so we went on a month long vacation to visit family. My mom was nice enough to fly down and drive up with us. Then later, Mike flew up to drive us home. Things we enjoyed...(some not pictured) going to a play, riding bikes, swimming, playing with cousins, missionary homecoming, visiting extended family, hot dog roasts, sewing, crafts and much more.

The kids took full advantage of the weather, it couldn't have been nicer. Riding bikes was a favorite. (Thanks to Grandma and her bike collection). Not a single day went by that a bike wasn't ridden.

Swinging~The only ones tired of it, were those who were asked to push over and over again.

And then, there was the adventure of camping. The plan was to go for two nights. Just the moms, kids, and Grandma, (oh, and one dad ended up staying). Some of the dads had a bet going that we would only last for one night. The dads won, thanks to someone named Chase and his 5 month old sidekick. Who knew that once you zipped up a tent to call it a night the boy would freak out and want to "go bye-bye". The screaming lasted all through the night. AND...his sweet little sidekick was not afraid to speak her mind. She did not think it was cool to sleep all bundled up like the Abominable Snowman. To say the least, NO ONE got much, if any sleep. I along with Sidekick's mom, knew we couldn't take another night of no sleep with added screaming. So, after a little more playing and hiking we packed up and hit the road. I LOVE being in the mountains, but I've decided I'm a cabin (hotel) campin' kind of girl.

There was some working and a lot of playing going on. Cleaning, gardening, pine cone picking. Wagon, lawn mower and four wheeler rides.

...to be continued in Part 2.

Looks like you guys had a great time! It's always nice to go 'home' and to see everyone. Hopefully it won't be another 3 years!
