Duck and Cover

BEEEEP, BEEEEP, BEEEEP!!! This is not a test. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for the following areas. . . Please seek shelter immediately. That's exactly what we experienced earlier this evening. It's tornado season, again. Unfortunately, it's not the first time to happen and certainly won't be the last. With each warning our family has been better prepared than the time before, by planning ahead for the the next time the sirens go off. (On the agenda for next week: purchase a weather radio and stock up on batteries.) Thankfully, we are all safe, nothing touched down this time. Our surroundings are just a little waterlogged from all the rain.

Oh good times! Brings back so many memories. Pathetically, I never thought to put the kids bike helmets on their heads! Genius! Enjoy some really cool storms for us. I do miss them!

We wish we could take credit for thinking of the bike helmets. It was mentioned in some safety tips and on the news.
